GrubScoretmThe GrubScore (patent pending) was invented by GrubIQ to allow you to easily compare one food to all other foods for a given nutrient. Knowing the percent of the Recommended Daily Allowance ("RDA") or Daily Recommended Intake ("DRI") is useful but does not show how one food compares to all foods for the nutrient. Also, the RDA and DRI are not established for many nutrients, and the GrubScore is calculated for every nutrient (including those with no RDA/DRI). Specifically, the GrubScore displays the percentile in which your selected food is compared to all other foods, for each nutritional element. For example, if a food is in the 95th percentile for lycopene, that means it has a greater amount of lycopene per 100 gram serving than 95 percent of the foods in the database for which lycopene is analyzed. This is particularly useful when you want to increase or decrease the amount of certain nutrients in your diet. On the GrubIQ.com website, the GrubScore is displayed as a graph. Example: ![]() ![]() |
